This young punk was out driving around
Driving around Mercer County, Colton was always up for an adventure — or maybe just looking for one. One day, one of his coworkers asked if he’d meet up with a friend of hers. He brushed it off at first, but after a few days, he finally agreed. The meeting place? None other than Country Fair in Sharon, Pennsylvania.
What was supposed to be a quick, three-to-five-minute introduction turned into quite the experience. Brooke found herself gripping the door handle, hoping Colton might stop talking long enough for her to make an exit. Thirty minutes later, her knuckles were white, and Colton was still telling stories. When he finally let her go, Brooke went home and told her mom, “I can never see that guy again—he’s going to ruin my life.”
And, in a way, she was right—just not how she thought. Over seven and a half years later, after a few close calls, plenty of laughter, and more than a few moves, these two are still standing strong—together.

From sharing a tiny apartment in Morgantown, WV while Colton went to school, to parting ways so Brooke could chase her master’s degree, to spending countless weekends driving between West Virginia and Pennsylvania—they’ve weathered it all. Every mile, every challenge, and every late-night talk only brought them closer.
Now, settled into their home in Kearneysville, WV, Brooke and Colton have added a sweet puppy named Daisy to their little family—and they can’t wait to see what comes next. Looking back, they know every twist and turn of their journey was worth it. Each moment led them here—to a love that’s patient, strong, and full of gratitude for the life they’re building together.
