It all started on a dating app
Their love story began in the fall of 2021 when they matched on a dating app. From there, Mike and his future fiancée talked nonstop, day and night, for several weeks leading up to their first date at the end of November, when they met at Applebee's in the middle of a blizzard. Mike braved a terrible snowstorm to drive from Erie to Meadville to see her—they just couldn't wait any longer to meet. There was a spark from the moment they met; they instantly hit it off and felt a strong connection as they enjoyed getting to know each other better. After that, they spent as much time together as possible, talking around the clock and traveling every weekend between Meadville and Erie, until the day she moved in with Mike in January 2024.
In the summer of 2024, they went on their first vacation together with her family to Ocean City, Maryland, where they got engaged on the beach. After a fun date night at a local bar and grille, they walked back to the beach to watch the sunset. Mike asked her to walk over to the lifeguard stand with him so he could balance his phone there to take a photo of them in front of the ocean. She suspected something was about to happen when he switched the camera into video mode. Mike got down on one knee and proposed, and she said yes as nearby beachgoers clapped and cheered. It was an incredibly special moment in their love story—one they will cherish for the rest of their lives. Now, they look forward to making more unforgettable memories as they celebrate their wedding on May 10, 2025, surrounded by beloved family and friends.
